USC Morning Buzz: The Football Bureaucracy Getting Worse

I’ve had enough of the way the football coaching profession has created an entire bureaucracy of titles.

Alabama has named Maurice Linguist and Colin Hitschler as co-defensive coordinators and defensive backs coaches. The only problem is Kane Wommack is also defensive coordinator.

That is three defensive coordinators!

It has to be a record.

USC has two, by the way. D’Anton Lynn and Eric Henderson. Lynn is the actual defensive coordinator but threw a bone to Henderson and gave him the title. Why? It’s supposed to help Henderson when he interviews for another job.

Who is getting fooled by this nonsense? People know who the real coordinators are.

I’m not even going to get into the ridiculous glut of titles like passing game coordinator or run defense coordinator. Whatever happned to just doing your job.

  1. Exaggerated titles are everywhere, Scott, from Assistant Managers
(when they are janitors) and Presidents (where the office is run by committees)

    1. Instead of ignoring me, he keeps getting his ass handed to him. His schtick is reposting stale comments from months and years past thinking it gets under my skin. When it only reflects his childish stupidity

      1. Yes, but she is Abby Normal.

She feels no shame. Never had a decent man in her life to teach her anything about those sort of things. It’s pretty obvious from her posts.

you sound confused!….. In 2023, RBs averaged 28 carries per game, and passing was 35 attempts per game. How do you strike that type of balance if you’re not running the ball? …….and finished #3 in scoring at 41.8 per game.

You sound confused. How does USC only gain 3 yards total rushing against UCLA and 73 against Oregon? No disrespect, but the stats are clear:
