USC Now “Southern California University”

Some of you probably thought I was joking when I said how many times will we see Cheryl Miller around the USC women’s basketball team in March?

Well, here’s another appearance. It’s funny how she hasn’t felt like spending a lot of time around USC until the basketball team got really successful.

Note in the video below that JuJu Watkins is wearing a “Southern California University” sweat shirt. It goes great with those Southern Cal and So Cal jerseys they wear.

        The data shows that ideology, race and gender are all statistically significant predictors of self-reported mental health, with liberals having the worst self-reported mental health compared to moderates and conservatives, and women having worse self-reported mental health than men.         KEY POINTS

        1. Exaggerated victimhood is a common feature of narcissistic grandiosity.

        2. Narcissistic personalities often feel victimized because of their unrealistic expectations, hypersensitivity, and lack of empathy.

        3. Narcissists also play the victim to elicit sympathy and avoid responsibility for their abusive behavior.

        See Gabby’s claim of victimhood below. Lack of empathy, abusive behavior, it all fits. And of course he has now taken over the blog so that he is the center of attention, the most obvious narcissist personality trait.

        Yesterday Gabby admitted that he had no intention of appearing for a boxing match. “Nobody fights over what is said on a blog.” He was incredulous that anyone should ask for an apology. (Posting fraudulently as steveg) In Gabby’s world, men are not the protectors and providers for their families. You can insult their wives, daughters, and mothers with impunity. He has has no code of honor and therefore believes that nobody else should live by one. Although he admits that he will not back up his words with a boxing match, he has now dishonesty posted at least 10 times the exact same response about how he showed up at the gym in Miami. Is this suppose to be amusing? Please stop ruining our blog with repetitive copy and paste posts.

    3. I am not a mysogynist (spelling?) but I don’t recall the ladies basketball team winning back to back titles back in the ’80s, however this JuJu phenomena awoke my interest in SC women’s basketball (possibly because it is the “only’ basketball played at SC)

    It does not matter what you call us if we are winning. I think any publicity the Women of Troy are getting is fantastic.

        Although research in this area is still in its infancy, a few psychological studies have attempted to answer these questions. There are three important lessons learned.

        First, trolls are more likely to display noxious personality characteristics, that is, traits that impair one’s ability to build relations and function in a civilized or pro-social way. In a comprehensive examination of their psychological profile, trolls were found to be more Machiavellian (impulsive and charming manipulators), psychopathic (cold, fearless and antisocial), and especially sadist than the overall population. Trolls enjoy harming and intimidating others, so much so that the authors of this study concluded that trolls are “prototypical everyday sadists”, and that trolling should be regarded as online sadism. Thus, even when we are not naturally sadistic, trolling may bring out the worst side in us, by lifting the moral constrains and social etiquette that regulates our behavior in normal situations, and by fueling dissent and triggering abrasive reactions.

        Third, trolling is a status-enhancing activity: by attracting readers’ attention, upsetting people, sparking heated debates, and even gaining approval from others, trolls can feel important, perhaps much more than they are in their real lives. Thus, trolling is yet another internet activity that promotes narcissistic motives, since trolls may be expected to be far less successful in attracting people’s attention in the physical world. The only effective antidote to their tactics is to ignore them, but even then, trolls won’t suffer a public humiliation because nobody knows who they are. This is what makes trolling so ubiquitous – it requires no skills other than the ability to be obnoxious.
