Thankfully, this is a subject we will no longer have to hear about.
Reggie Bush has been given his 2005 Heisman Trophy back as the Heisman Trust announced Wednesday the formal “reinstatement” of the trophy.
Why now? The Heisman Trust said it was because of “enormous changes in the college football landscape.”
“Personally, I’m thrilled to reunite with my fellow Heisman winners and be a part of the storied legacy of the Heisman Trophy, and I’m honored to return to the Heisman family,” Bush said in a statement to ESPN. “I also look forward to working together with the Heisman Trust to advance the values and mission of the organization.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Reggie Bush back to the Heisman family in recognition of his collegiate accomplishments,” Michael Comerford, president of The Heisman Trophy Trust, said in a statement. “We considered the enormous changes in college athletics over the last several years in deciding that now is the right time to reinstate the trophy for Reggie. We are so happy to welcome him back.”
USC now officially has eight Heisman Trophies, giving it the most of any school in the country.
REACTION: The best part of this is we no longer have to hear Bush play the victim or complain about his Heisman or characters like Johnny Manziel say they will boycott the ceremony.
Will Bush ever apologize to the USC players who suffered the bowl ban and other repercussions from sanctions because he refused to cooperate with the NCAA? Don’t hold your breath.

So Reggie is looking forward to helping “advance the values and mission” of the Heisman Trust. So what values are those Reggie? Cheat, get caught, stonewall the investigation, let others take the punishment you deserve, and in the end you will come out on top. Just what every organization needs!

The constant bitching out of you is ridiculous. Go find something that brings joy to your life.

Gee Gabby. Let’s see, activities that bring joy. Unfortunately, posting animal poop videos just doesn’t cut it for me.

The videos served their purpose. Gone are all the 50-plus a day political and “Cowardly Gabby” rants from grabbbyy. I am sure the majority of the blog appreciates what it eventually accomplished

Wow, Plow Horse! Why do you continue to use a mere three thousand horse, elephant, pig & goat poo poo videos against Gabby?

That’s a “you” problem, dumbass, if you lack the intellectual capacity to comprehend the cause and effect that the videos made on the blog. You’re all butt-hurt that your little buddy grabbbyy disappeared….

Mike Garrett is the one who should apologize to the players, the Bush family & us fans. His mishandling of the whole affair was the cause for all the drama- especially in light of all that North Carolina, Miami & OSU did right after & received only a slap on the hand.

Garrett? ”Mishandling the whole affair”? I think you’re forgetting a guy with the first name of “Pat”…..

nope Garrett- blew off the initial investigators as “jealous because their not Trojans” & instead of offering mea culpas like the aforementioned, threw arrogance in their faces (as was his MO). All pre-Pat.

I’m okay with Mike declaring war on the NCAA…. I just wish Haden finished what Mike started, taking the NCAA into Federal Court [where they would have caved rather than go through humiliating discovery compliance]….

EXACTLY!….. You and I have talked about this numerous times how Haden took it in the ass and coward down, unlike McNair who battled the NCAA and was successful.

Haden did what he does best, he bent over, grabbed his ankles and took it right in the ass

Great. Can we get our 30 scholarships, BCS title, and vacated victories back as well?

Answer: No.

All of this drama because a young player’s stepdad got free rent for a year. The NCAA investigation team were on a witch hunt led by the criminal masterminds and cons from Miami. The NCAA, NOT Reggie, owes the USC players an apology!

Is it okay if they both apologize?

So the Heisman Committee decided to fast-forward Reggie Bush’s 2005 money transgressions into the 2024 present, and in that light all is forgiven
This is great, now I can see Regie’s handsome face in commercials, probably some with the other Heisman guys
Apologies?- Real men don’t apologize for their wrongful thinking or doing, just ask any Maggot or Libtard on the street

Lots of blame to go around. NCAA = Evil. Garrett for stonewalling, Haden for not fighting harder, etc., but Reggie & his family profited quite a bit. Was Reggie completely oblivious to what was going on with Lloyd Lake? Doubt it. It would have been a stand up gesture by Reggie (at some point) at least address the issue and maybe show a bit of contrition. Reggie certainly didn’t suffer, it was the players & program that suffered with the loss of scholies.
So, yay, glad he got his trophy back, but please Reggie, stop playing the role of martyr.

I had a friend write about Reggie’s delayed receipt of his Heisman, “It’s about 14-years too late,” to which I thought he meant that Bush could have taken care of this entire matter 14-years ago in 2010
