USC recruited Jay Fair from Dallas in 2022. Modest production … when is Josh Henson going to get up off his ASS and bring in some OL transfers!? Sorry Josh is probably a great guy, but he’s not cutting it especially if you consider what Eric Henderson is doing.

Riley’s old Oklahoma OL coach Bill Bedenbaugh who was going to come to USC and then reneged, does a good job of getting his position players to the NFL. I appreciate Riley is loyal to his assistants, but Brent Venables isn’t long for OU. Go get Bill Bedenbaugh!

I agree, to a point. OL have to be able to run block in the NFL, Riley doesn’t exactly run the ball a great deal and I’m sure other coaches point this out to prospective recruits and transfers

They also point out that the well known Helton/Riley philosophy is ‘if you bring in a bunch of 4 and 5 star guys in skill positions you can pretty much let a bunch of other guys stumble around on the line.’

Riley has made impressive changes in most position coaches including a very promising D coordinator, but Riley stayed with Henson (yes Nua too ) on the Oline. Of course it isnt like staying with Grinch, but it’s also slowly becoming problematic in USC’s upward trajectory, both in recruiting and player development. Will Riley be a slow learner again, like he was for Grinch? I’m hoping not, since he’s been getting very positive feedback on his recent coaching changes. Hopefully Henson can course correct this season, since the B10 is so trench oriented and Moss will be a new starter.

We’re never gonna see a mean and nasty, swaggering O-Line under Riley —hopefully we can do well with an above average one…..
