Encampment Saga Ends Peacefully

Carol Folt has just patted herself on the back in an official statement on the removal of the encampment at Alumni Park.

After LAPD arrived to clear the park, it ended early Sunday morning with no arrests and students leaving peacefully.

It underscored (again) that USC really didn’t need to cancel the main graduation because unlike UCLA, it can pretty easily contain the entrances to campus.

But let’s not ignore how USC’s Media Relations office acted this morning. It would not allow student reporters to cover LAPD’s removal of the protestors at the park.

And this video is pretty disgraceful. The director of media relations tells a student reporter to “email your questions” to her office. It was 5 a.m.!

Then she covers her badge when asked her name. The other woman is chief of staff for university communications but before that was a long-time reporter for the Los Angeles Daily News and Los Angeles Times. She obviously knows better.

Shameful behavior.

The professional agitator crowd at USC did not seem to be as enthusiastic as those at UCLA and Columbia. Far too little disruption and property destruction and nobody was injured. Did not seem like the faculty joined in at USC. Soros and the rest of the Davos crowd should remember that when deciding on bonus’ and promotions. You need agitators willing to set fires and break windows. Does Soros save the tents or buy new ones with each protest/encampment. Interesting how the tents are the same make, model and color at each encampment.

      Have not seen a lot of KKK rallies on the news. Wonder what evidence the generals relied on to make that assessment. The frat boys did raise the American flag at UNC though, and sang the star spangled banner, may be grounds for Attorney General Garland to open up a file.

      10. Why would they? Cinco de Mayo is a yearly celebration held on May 5 to celebrate MEXICO’S victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862.

Had Folt exhibited leadership there would have been no encampment. And no need to cancel graduation ceremonies. I don’t give her any credit for how she handled this mess. It just seems that the professional agitators and Muslim students at USC did not manifest their Jew hatred quite as much as those at UCLA and some Ivy League colleges. Is Jewish hatred part of Ms. Folt’s DEI program? Yes. Right below straight, white, Christian, males.

    1. I do give her some credit (or campus security). When the tents went up initially a week and a half ago, they took them right down and closed the campus to anyone but employees and students. So the camps they cleared out early this morning were purely students. That’s why it was much smaller than SUCLA’s camp.
