Eric Musselman Completes Coaching Staff

Eric Musselman has completed his coaching staff by hiring former Washington assistant coach Quincy Pondexter.

I wrote last month that Musselman wanted to hire Pondexter. He then changed his mind and wanted a coach with L.A. ties but got turned down by G League executive Pooh Jeter. Cal State Fullerton coach Dedrique Taylor was also a candidate but I’m told salary was an obstacle.

So Musselman circled back to Pondexter. That means he hired Mike Hopkins’ two former assistants at Washington (Pondexter, Will Conroy). Gee, do you think Jen Cohen was involved in these hires?

“They’re hiring two guys who got (Washington coach) Mike Hopkins fired,” a Big 12 assistant coach quipped last month.

  1. Muzzle’s pugnacious nature might be attributed to his height and the ‘Short man Syndrome’- there is ‘short’ and there is 5 1/2 feet short, so probably he felt he had to prove his ‘manhood’ since in grade school

  2. Regarding the recruitment of Coach Taylor falling through, Scott writes that “I’m told salary was an obstacle.” See, Wolf does have inside information at SC afterall

    2. So on top of the base pay of $10-million another 9.5 million was paid out (of which 4.5 million was the OK buyout), plus SC had to pay another $4-million to Ton-o-hel for his contract. And now a lot of people are feeling ‘buyer’s remorse’

Looks like Stump’s Trial will be handed over to the jury on Monday and if it were anybody other than Stump they would be found guilty based on the signed documents only, but a hung jury is a strong possibility, and besides on Appeal this case may have some troubles passing muster. No way Stump does jail time with the Appeal is pending

      1. For an NDA?! I think not. This comes down to Accounting and as far as that goes, it was classified correctly…a payment (even a reimbursement) to his attorney is a legal expense.

      2. Anybody other than Trump wouldn’t even have been charged!

This is entirely political. Biden & team making good on his promise to do whatever it took to ensure Trump isn’t President again.
