Defensive Lineman Spurns USC

Former Tennessee defensive end Tyler Baron committed to Miami over USC.

Baron had committed to Mississippi and Louisville this offseason. He had 28 tackles and six sacks last season at Tennessee.

Does USC have any faith in its defensive linemen? It has bodies but obviously the coaches think they need some transfers.

  1. Ok and? Man they aren’t all coming and ‘maybe’ they don’t want to have to compete or Mariotta is a good recruiter – in the end – so what?

  3. That was quite a ‘clinic’ Wolf was running yesterday, first saying the SC offensive line is not great and then writes that the defensive line is even worse. And though Wolf is not prone to negative exaggeration, hyperbole, it seems most Trojans are not looking forward to the Season with the same passion as in the ‘Carrot’s years

  4. -I still cannot get over that 2022 Season with ‘Celeb’ leading the way remarkably, an ‘escape artist who almost got SC to the ‘Final-4,’ he was a Trojan legend until the 2023 ‘Disaster’ at 8-5

  5. If they ever got to ‘grading’ linemen from 0-100 most would probably fall in the 60-80 ‘above-average to good’ group. So how much better can a ’80’ be than a ’60?

  7. Really Scotty? “Spurn” means to reject with disdain or contempt. Is that what he did or did he just choose to go to another program for whatever reason. I don’t see anywhere that he had disdain or contempt for USC. In fact, he considered going there.
