Who has the worst Homecoming date of the season?
Easy: UCLA.
The Bruins’ Homecoming will be on FRIDAY, Nov. 8 against Iowa.
Homecoming on a Friday night? People will make comments now about how no one will go to the game.
But having Homecoming during rush hour in Pasadena on a Friday is ridiculous. There’s going to be a sizable contingent from Iowa so there will be some fans.
It doesn’t matter if only 10,000 alumni showed up, it’s an inconvenience for them to have Homecoming on a Friday night. Some of those people will have kids who play high school football games that night.
It’s a galling move, no matter how few people it affects.

On a positive note, if UCLA plays on Friday that means Brookside golf course will be open of Saturday. Maybe I can get in 18 holes. And the Iowa fans are big drinkers. The bars in Old Pasadena should be lively all weekend.

Maybe with Michigan as SC’s third game Wiley didn’t want to start with LSU, a toss-up game at best for the Trojans
And then a brutal cross-country trip to Michigan, the defending champions, so SC will be ‘favored” to start 1-2 in 2024 but with home-cooking predominately the rest of the way the Trojans may surprise us

A new ABC News/Ipsos poll conducted between May 31 and June 1 found that 49% of respondents think trump should end his campaign due to the conviction. Only 37% said he shouldn’t drop out and 14% said they didn’t know.
The poll also found that 50% of respondents think Trump’s guilty verdict in the hush money case was correct while only 27% believe it was wrong. Another 23% said they “don’t know” if the verdict was accurate or not.
