Top Defensive End Decommits From USC

There was a lot of hoopla when four-star defensive end Isaiah Gibson of Warner Robins, Ga., committed to USC in March. Some rate Gibson as the No. 1 defensive end in the nation.

Today, Gibson decommitted from USC. He is currently on a visit to Ohio State.

This was entirely predictable back in March. He is from Georgia. He’s a defensive lineman. You could never go by a spring, 2024 commitment for a Class of 2025 prospect.

But that did not stop the insufferable group of people who refer to USC defensive lineman Eric Henderson as Coach Henny. They can’t stop crediting “Coach Henny” for any little development.

So will they blame him for today’s news?

  1. Now why would an NFL-prospect want to go to Ohio St– well, they are a shoe-in to go to the Playoffs and many feel they will win the whole thing

Willie Mays, I still use his signature “Say-Hey” once in a while, and I recall one game listening to the Giants and the Dodgers on the radio when Willie came up in a big moment of the game I couldn’t bear to listen to him beat my guys so I turned the radio off

  2. Jerry West and now Willie Mays. Two of the absolute best ever.

My little league team went to watch him at Dodger stadium. Sat in the outfield pavilion. He was at the twilight of his career. The Giants coach hit fly balls to Willie during warm-ups and he would lazily catch them with his glove flipped over like a fruit basket. Coach told us not to do it like Willie. After the catch, Willie would turn around toward our team, smile, and tossed a few balls to us. Next practice we were all trying to catch it like Willie.
