USC Notes: Alabama Will Rely On A Trojan

Apparently, Domani Jackson is Cornerback No. 1 at Alabama. If he actually has a good season, that will be a real indictment of USC’s coaching.

  • Cal and Stanford have officially joined the ACC today. Texas and Oklahoma officially joined the SEC.

USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington will not officially join the Big Ten until August 2.

  • Carol Folt has become a big fan of T20 cricket. Or more likely, shamelessly trying to relate to USC students from India.

  3. Well, at least ‘Without-a-Folt’ is into some sports and might not wish to completely derail SC – “Football has too much money, let’s take some of that and form an SC cricket team”

    So SC and others have not yet joined the Big 10; does this mean the Pac-12 is still in the running for SC?

    1. The Princess can go wherever they desire. They have a huge T.V. audience. Hopefully, they choose the BIG. This will help USC retain their rivalry and open up another slot for an out of conference game. Maybe bring in Stanford to even things out with 20 teams.

    2. Agree PT. Even the fact that Folt embraces cricket bothers me. It fits with her theme of everything is equal, DEI. Cricket is not a sport of any consequence at USC or in America. When we are given a bat and ball, we play baseball. We don’t give a rat’s ass about cricket so why is she pushing it. And football is the sport that is embraced at USC. What is Folt doing to help raise NIL money.

  10. Riley Pettijohn, the MLB out of Texas, is now expected to sign with USC. His announcement is on July 6th. A great pick-up. No. 2 linebacker in the nation. Looks fast and hits hard on film. Now we have to keep him.
