How is Gardena included within the South Bay. That place is a mess. Gang activity, high crime rate, and the Hustler Casino. But amazingly they have a Japanese enclave. There is a very good and reasonably priced Japanese restaurant within a 1950’s bowling alley in Gardena. Got to love California.

Hope Langer’s stays So Cal. Best pastrami outside of New York. I suspect the owners are well set financially and dealing with the crime may not be worth it anymore. This was a plea to the mayor, police department, and district attorney for help cleaning the place up but I doubt they will take it seriously.
