Eric Musselman’s first non-conferencce schedule is out and it looks a lot like something Andy Enfield would come up with.
USC plays a lot of cupcakes including powehouses Idaho State, Texas-Arlington, San Jose State, Grambling, Montana State, Cal State Northridge and Southern.
The best games are St. Mary’s, Cal and either Arizona State or New Mexico.
Ho-hum. Let’s hope Musselman beefs the schedule up once he gets more time to bring in some players.

New coach; old whine.

Just out of curiosity, I checked Duke’s schedule, which has: Wofford, Lincoln (where is that?), Incarnate Word (What is that?), Seattle, Maine, Army. The gutties schedule has Cal St. Fullerton, Rider, Lehigh, Idaho State, Prairie View A & M, New Mexico, Cal St. LA.

Ummm Duke plays Arizona, Kansas and KY in the preseason. USC’s preseason schedule is a disgrace, just admit it.

Whatever happened to all the lamenting about SC’s talent being too thin?

Guess that old Wolf Censor is still in bed, so at least for the moment anything goes around here, and SC should still be concerned about an aroused Michigan team with a stout defense pressuring Moss

Michigan’s D-line [and, for that matter, defensive backs] are the best we’ll see…..until Penn State.

After the Texas humiliation I would presume the Michiganers will try to make amends with SC

It is striking how much better Entz, former North Dakota HC, has made the USC LBs. Lynn noted the impact of “North Dakota football mentality” on the performance of the defense. Who would have ever thought we would hear that?

Charming: TV is evidence that ‘bad news sells.’ It’s the media that stirs up this Democrats vs Republican polarization and frenzy when in reality we are not that far apart in our governing views
Prince: Yeah, if you can imagine a football field metaphor with the Centrists sitting on the 50 yard line, our enemies say we are on the 5 yard line for your liberals and my conservatives. In reality it’s probably mre like the 25 yard line.
Charming: Same here

A “North Dakota football mentality” apparently means that if you are willing to play football in the bitter Dakotas’ cold of October and November, you must really love the sport

In 5 years, Entz was 60-11 as HC, and won two natties.
Gentry was interviewed about his relationship with Entz and said: “He is amazing. I am trying to give him everything he asks for from me as a player. “

After all the pre-season negativity it is refreshing to read some good SC football news

Coaching records can be misleading, especially when a coach has a lot of good players. I know nothing about coaching but I bet I could have won some games with Lew Alcindor at YUCLA as in “Here’s the ball, Lew, do your thing”
