I’m setting this up now for those who want to discuss the game or even come here during the game.

I’m picking USC to win, 34-23.

        I thought Gabby said a few days back that he was going to the USC marching band pep rally today at the Palms at 2:00 and wanted to “meet up” with Scott. Instead, he spent the day trolling the blog. Once again a threat followed by a no show. That’s our Cowardly Gabby. All talk, no walk.

      1. MG: This is a very difficult test for Orgi, a quarterback who hasn’t played in a big game. Lynn is going to give him some confusing looks and bait him to throw it to the wrong guy. He will also blitz him. I don’t mean to be disrespectful to Orgi, but this is not the game anyone wants to start their career. You want to play UCLA to start your career.

(Posting fraudulently as steveg) In Gabby’s world, men are not the protectors and providers for their families. You can insult their wives, daughters, and mothers with impunity. He has has no code of honor and therefore believes that nobody else should live by one. Although he admits that he will not back up his words with a boxing match, he has now dishonesty posted at least 10 times the exact same response about how he showed up at the gym in Miami. Is this suppose to be amusing? Please stop ruining our blog with repetitive copy and paste posts.

  13. I think this is going to be a USC blow out. Two years ago TCU torched Michigan’s touted defense and won the game. That Michigan defense and offense is better than the one they have now. Last year Washington almost upset Michigan in the College Championship game. This year’s USC defense is better than last year’s Washington defense and Michigan’s offense lost virtually all of its players. Michigan is not a good team. They will lose at least 5 games this year. USC beats them by at least 20 points.

      Ya know what I worry about? Michigan throwing long on the first series in the hopes of getting an interference call [and, at worst, stretching our defense, opening up QB runs on 3rd and long]…..

  24. This is kind of an elimination game for Michigan figuring losing to Texas and SC pretty much puts you out. Not that these Wolverines need any more incentive to make a good showing

    The refs are pac 12 rejects. No call on the first 4th down when the call ran out and the facemask was not called on the last play.

    Oline sucks and that is because they are average at best. Keep a tightend or back in to help block on the left side.

    2. this isn’t a national championship level team. We’ve known that forever. It’s a road loss in a conference game. USC has lost plenty of those of late. Will be interesting to see what future opponents will do now there’s tape.

  47. I am not a brilliant offensive play caller, but I know when I see bad play calling and what I saw today by Lincoln Riley was bad play calling. Also, Lynn had one thing to worry about today and that is stopping the run. Is it safe to say he and his defense failed?

    1. The defense played their hearts out. But you’re right about Lincoln. He blew the easy 3 points at the end of the half…. and on USC’s last drive he went conservative [and 3 and out] and the game, for all practical purposes, was over [and we lost]. Carroll would have known we needed to play aggressively on that drive.

    2. I disagree. Fear and cowardice made some players lose their minds for USC. Too many missed blocks by O-linemen and lack of conviction by D-linemen exposed the team at times. A soft step is punished at this level of competition.

      Still, losing by 3 points in the first road game was commendable. Just get the line play improved and the rest of the games will be wins. Rat poison is for real, folks.
