USC Notes: Early Kickoff For Penn State; Soccer Switch

The USC-Penn State game will kick off at 12:30 p.m. PT and be televised by CBS.

Remember, it’s a “sell out” but USC students will be on fall break that weekend.

  • There was an emotional scene last night as USC volleyball player Ally Batenhorst, who transferred from Nebraska, was introduced before the Trojans played the Cornhuskers.

  • When USC said its women’s soccer team would play its matches at Dignity Sports Health Park, I said it made no sense because the LAFC stadium is right next to the Coliseum and would be perfect for home games.

But USC didn’t quite give all the details. It’s not playing in the soccer stadium where the L.A. Galaxy play. Instead, it is using the track stadium at the complex. That is a far cry from using the soccer stadium.

Just see for yourself. Imagine a fan going to Carson to see a game and showing up at the soccer stadium and it’s closed.

  2. This probably won’t get in but to all those here who sometimes resort to name-calling and insulting others, the same worded insults have grown old and lost their sting.   3. So SC fudged a little with the truth about playing in the soccer stadium when in fact it is playing in the track stadium. It’s called advertising!

  4. Wolf, Allegiant stadium charges UNLV football 370k to use the stadium for each home game. Perhaps the LAFC stadium is out of reach due to financial restraints……..
