Lincoln Riley Gets His Dream Opponent

USC is going to play Missouri State on Aug. 30, 2025 at the Coliseum.

Missouri State is currently an FCS school and USC has never played an FCS school. However, they will join Conference USA next fall and officially be an FBS school.

So USC’s non-conference games are mighty Missouri State, Clay Helton-led Georgia Southern and Notre Dame.

Cal and Stanford were both interested in filling the spot on USC’s schedule but Lincoln Riley wants the easiest schedule possible.

And it’s all about placating Sir Lincoln of Riley.

If you are a season-ticket holder, are you going to go to the Missouri State and Georgia Southern games?

  1. Washington is a slight favorite over grounded Michigan, and YUCLA is a 4-touchdown ‘dog to Penn St. Is that the biggest spread in YUCLA’s history?

  2. You want to see a joke of a schedule then look at ‘the princesses’ for 2024

Miami-OH, No. IL (who beat them), Purdue, GA Tech, VA, Louisville, Stanford, FL St., Army, Navy (ah gee Wally no Air Force – bummer wanted ‘the Pentagon’ this year) TX A&M and USC.

That’s a joke of a schedule esp no CCG but hey can’t ever ignore them – there even more pathetic than the NYY (nothing since 2009) and heading for their 36th year of ‘butkes’.

  3. Thats an absolute shame we opted against playing either Stanford or Cal. Those rivalries need to keep going; alums at those schools actually care about those games.
