Sunday Buzz: Goodbye Julian Lewis, Hello Husan Longstreet!

QB Julian Lewis finally decommitted from USC. And QB Husan Longstreet of Corona Centennial immediately flipped from Texas A&M to USC.

I can’t stress how over I was all this nonsense about where Lewis was going to go to college.

It took me about five seconds for me to find someone saying Longstreet was better. If that is true, why did USC spend so much time recruiting Lewis and wait until until Longstreet was already committed to A&M before recruiting him?

I don’t think it matters either way because the transfer portal is more important these days when it comes to quarterbacks.

Also: When someone decommits from USC, you always hear someone say they left for NIL. Well, Longstreet just left Texas A&M, who have loads of money. So USC must have some money, after all.

  1. Corona produces talent, maybe coach social anxiety disorder should go to a few games there and build a relationship with the coach and stop by SJB and MD as well

    1. Domers are number 2 in TO margin, and record 2.5 TOs per game. Maiava really needs to tighten up his throws and improve his decision-making or the game could be over in the first quarter.

      1. Agree 67. After watching Maiava I have a better understanding why Moss was the starter for the first 9 weeks. Incredibly gifted but is prone to turnovers and turnover margin generally determines the outcome of most games.

  2. Seems like a great swap. Rivals reports Longstreet is very likeable, humble, great work ethic, excellent leadership skills, comfortable rolling out or throwing from pocket, spins the ball as anyone at the HS level.

  4. My most vivid encounters with YUCLA bruins have been at the Rose Bowl and YUCLA’s Pauley Pavilion, where literally I am one Trojan among several thousand bruins within shouting range, which is a haven for a loud-mouth Trojan, as I cheer “SC-We’re From the East Side

  5. The new SC quarterback, ‘Maylaylo or something,’ needs for his wideouts to get some separation, otherwise run more

    1. The lack of separation may result, in part, from Moss being pressured. He had to get the ball out quickly to avoid a sack. Defenses then adjusted and challenged the short routes because they knew Moss didn’t have time to throw it long. They even take away the bubble screen to Branch. Branch need to step back and then blow by the defender on a fly pattern.
