USC Notes: Does Crosstown Rivalry Have Juice?

The kickoff options for the USC-Notre Dame game on Nov. 30 are 12:30 p.m., 4 p.m. or 4:30 p.m PT. A decision will be made after Saturday’s games.

  • Workers covered Tommy Trojan this morning to protect him from potential vandals during the Crosstown Rivalry week. Frankly, this usually took place before the weekend but the game has so little juice this year there was little need to do it sooner.
  • Did anyone catch Mark Madsen and Eric Musselman shake hands after Cal’s victory over USC last night? It had to look like a remake of “Twins.”
  • Punter Eddie Czaplicki is second in the nation in net punting (46.4 yards per punt).
  • Caleb Williams will attend the USC-Notre Dame game, where his jersey will officially be retired.

      1. It’ll never stop being hilarious that “81M” (we’re told) were stupid enough to vote for that. We have a lot of really stupid people living among us.

    2. “The surprising nomination of former Representative Matt Gaetz as attorney general sent terror waves throughout the DOJ…”

And this is why Trump nominated “that awful fellow Gaetz.”

I thought Gabby said a few days back that he was going to the USC marching band pep rally today at the Palms at 2:00 and wanted to “meet up” with Scott. Instead, he spent the day trolling the blog. Once again a threat followed by a no show. That’s our Cowardly Gabby. All talk, no walk.

    1. Really? I buy a print edition of both the Times and SCNG everyday…none of them ever post their picks until the day (Saturday 23rd Nov.) of the game. Neither do the NFL beat reporters….always day-of-game. i.e. Thursday’s Amazon BFL game pick will be in Thursday’s paper.

  1. The thinking is that quarterback Garbers is steadier than SC’s new guy, and that Woody will have difficulty running against the bruin line
