Tailback Quentin Joyner Enters Transfer Portal

Quinten Joyner, who was expected to be the starting tailback next season, has entered the transfer portal. He rushed for 478 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Is this due to NIL? Perhaps. But it can’t have escaped Joyner’s attention that USC’s offense barely ran the ball 40 percent of the time and if you take away sacks the Trojans ran the ball 38 percent of the time.

And that was with offensive MVP Woody Marks at tailback.

It’s starting to feel like USC is going to need to construct quite a team in the transfer portal.

And it probably needs a right tackle because Mason Murphy, who started 12 games, is also entering the portal.

Is the program still in a better place as the USC radio broadcaster said after the Notre Dame loss?

  1. This has become a circus. I can’t believe the AD is doing nothing. Both the team GM and LR need to go. All of the sudden 2025 is looking like more of the same for USC while Oregon and Arizona State are winning big.

  2. Hard to understand why players who are projected to start or play big minutes are leaving. Not a good look for the program. Perhaps these players believe they are not being properly developed within the program. If so, that is a huge red flag.

    1. Precisely Plow- when was the last no QB to to be drafted 1st or second round? I’m sure recruits are looking at which are giving them the best odds to succeed in the NFL- Woody Riley hasn’t proven he’s developed anyone not named a QB. He isn’t a real leader, he doesn’t command respect from players, referees or anyone really, and is incredibly immature. And he doesn’t care, because if he did, a real coach would have set the team on fire after how year one of his tenure flamed out. Anyone with football sense saw what the team lacked- and he did nothing until it was too late. Whatever buzz this idiot had as a premier coach is long gone and he’s sucking on fumes. I don’t think the transfer portal will be kind- unless we keep getting 6th year retreads from other smaller conferences to play here. As mentioned multiple times- this program is completely lost- from the top down

  3. USC could go 0-12 and Arbogast would still be telling the listeners that USC is moving up and the program is on the right track.

    1. He has already said that Maiava is the quarterback and he is only looking for a backup. Nobody good will come to SC under those circumstances. Maybe a JC transfer.

  5. So SC is now looking for ‘replacement parts’ to fill in for departing ex-Trojans. But that’s life in the NIL lane

  6. Stangely, if Ohio St had taken care of business with Michigan, then it would have been Oregon v Ohio St Part 2 with a possible 3rd for the National Title

  7. And since we are on the subject, MG and Tirebiter don’t write anymore, but if they are taking a peak this morning, ‘Hope you 2 are doing alright’
