A Question For Lincoln Riley/USC Fans

I spoke to a Big Ten coach today about USC.

Here’s one question he asked me: “Has Lincoln Riley ever run the ball three times in a row?”

Has he? We all know Riley has thrown the ball three times in a row.

But has he ever run it three times at the former Tailback U.?

  1. Yes. USC ran the ball repeatedly in the second half of the Washington game. First three plays were runs. Had they done that in the first half, they would have won the game.

  3. Yes, he has run the ball three times in a row but then he gets all weird and dizzy, wet’s himself, and goes back to heaving it on every down because the ghost of Mie Leach visits him.

    1. Agree Buddha. That is why I don’t think Riley has been a great play caller for USC. It’s like he has a concept of how to showcase his offense without consideration of the weaknesses of the defense. The most glaring example was Washington. We lost that game because of the poor play calling. We could have run the ball for 300 yards.

      1. He has no feel for the game when it get going, none. He’s always going to throw the ball first, he’ll never attract top OL and he’ll never win anything.

The thing that cracks me up is how people try to turn this forum about USC Athletics into a political site, Its like Thanksgiving dinner and not being allowed to sit at the grown ups table so you have to sit at the children’s table, While the kids are discussing the latest toys (USC Athletics) you want to sound like a grown up and discuss politics even though the other kids don’t know and don’t care that you are obsessed with President Biden and can’t handle seeing women such as Pelosi or Harris is powerful government jobs. I think the Mods and Admins need to do a better job at policing the comments on this sight, I can’t imagine what would happen if USC Admin saw the comments made about them.

  7. Largely due to a “too high buyout” Wiley will be the SC coach for another 2 probably 3-years when it becomes more economical for SC to move on from him.

    The negativity is remindful of the last Helton years when Trojan fans were screaming for his removal. The fan anger didn’t help with Helton and probably won’t with Wiles either
