Do people realize USC plays a game tomorrow?
The buildup to the Las Vegas Bowl feels almost non-existent. There was certainly more buzz in previous visits.
The first time USC played in the Las Vegas Bowl, it was Pete Carroll’s first bowl game. The second time Steve Sarkisian had been hired and watched the game but did not coach.
If you want Lincoln Riley to create buzz, forget it. Riley did show up at a community service event in Las Vegas that the bowl game organized on Monday. That’s more than he seems to do in Los Angeles.
It’s going to be interesting to see how many USC fans head to Las Vegas with so little fanfare.
- This is the starting lineup for the skill positions the last time USC played Texas A&M, which was the 1977 Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl. USC won, 47-28.

- USC rushed for 374 yards and passed for 246. Texas A&M rushed for 486 yards.
Look at the individual stats:
RUSHING – Charles White (USC) 21-187; George Woodard (TAMU) 27-185; Mike Mosley (TAMU) 20-180; Dwight Ford (USC) 13-152.
Ford had a 94-yard TD run. Rob Hertel (11-15-248 yards, 4 TDs) threw two TD passes to Calvin Sweeney.
USC fell behind, 14-0, and then scored 34 straight points.
This season is it for Riley, as far as having my support. The program has regressed and I’m predicting 2025 to be as bad if not worse than 2024.

Yes, we realize SC plays TA&M at 7:30 tomorrow. It’s the only game for me; you can have the playoffs filled with schools for whom I could care less

You would think someone who is supposedly a lawyer would know the phrase is “could NOT care less”. What he wrote implies that he DOES care, at least on some level, and that it is possible for him to care less than he does. A horrible comprehension of the meaning of basic words.

But you cannot blame the college kids for being opportunists, trying to get a good financial deal for themselves. For most of them this is the most money per year they will see in their lifetimes
BUT there has got to be implemened some rules and regulations for this runaway ‘train’ i.e 26 kids leave Oklahoma

USC didn’t even make it to the “Pop Tart Bowl”, which somehow has two ranked teams (Miami vs. Iowa State). SMDH…I hope the young guys on the team make a statement tomorrow night, including RB Bryan Jackson.
