Well, the other shoe dropped today as wide receiver Zacariah Branch entered the transfer portal along with his brother, Zion, who is a safety at USC. Is Branch leaving a surprise? No. I was more critical of him this season than anyone in the media. But it is the job of Lincoln Riley and wide receivers coach Dennis Simmons to get something out of Branch. … Continue reading Turmoil Tuesday: Zacariah Branch Leads Exodus

Former USC defensive coordinator Alex Grinch, currently at Wisconsin, has emerged as the expected hire for Central Florida’s defensive coordinator job according to Pete Thamel. That was a pretty quick rehabilitation. USC offensive tackle Mason Murphy has signed with Auburn. Former USC offensive lineman Courtland Ford, who has been at Kentucky, has committed to UCLA. Remember, Carol Folt previously kicked the Daily … Continue reading USC Notes: Cutting Spree Continues

I’m getting tired of hearing someone in the transfer portal was a four-or-five star prospect or top 300 player nationally. Is it just possible they were overhyped by the recruiting services? What do Houston Texans safety Calen Bullock, Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Christian Roland-Wallace, Arizona State safety Xavion Alford, Alabama cornerback Domani Jackson and Nebraska cornerback Ceyair Wright have in common? They all got … Continue reading Morning Buzz: Leave USC And Thrive
