USC starting guard Emmanuel Pregnon has entered the transfer portal according to 247 Sports.
Pregnon is literally USC’s most experienced and in some eyes, best offensive lineman.
Let’s review: He accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl at the end of the regular season. Then he decided to return to USC. Now he is in the portal.
Is he not thrilled with the promotion of new offensive line coach Zach Hanson? Did he get some good NIL offers?
I always have to be the first to say things but Lincoln Riley seems to be a poor manager of the NIL money. You can’t lose a Pregnon to NIL when you have a lousy track record of developing offensive linemen.
Absolutely devastating news….the OL is gutted. Maiava will be running for his life every play.

That’s such an absurd opinion by Wolf. Teams are tampering and USC has to learn how to either fight back or pay the going rate. It has nothing to do with developing talent or who the coach is. It’s about the highest bidder and players don’t have to be loyal to schools who will replace them with others in a heartbeat. You think if Jeff Stoutland was his position coach that Pregnon would stay? He came back to college because his draft position was poor. Get your facts straight, Wolf. Maiava has been approached by that moron Miami school to play for them. Failing that, they threw the same amount at Pregnon-allegedly. Welcome to the reality check . . .PUN INTENDED

All of this is a consequence of the NIL bidding wars. Players who have loyally served the program for years see what SC is offering D lineman in the portal and realize that the money is there but SC is not willing to spend it on them. Pregnon is a valuable piece. This one hurts.

Why comment on USC sports when you neither attended USC nor played on their teams nor graduated from elementary school, Cowardly Gabby? You add nothing but animal videos to any rational discussion. Go to the MSNBC chat where loons like you belong.

There is nothing wrong with showering with your daughther up until she starts pointing at it. Ivanka pointed at it and started laughing, it crushed the orange cheeto’s ego. You must be jealous!

Lincoln Riley needs a general manager with a pro football personnel background so he can manage these relationships better. But he won’t even hire a full time special teams coach. God almighty.

Unless USC gets it through their thick heads that they’re going to have to hire a GM to manage the NIL and help evaluate the talent, and if Riley protests this then fire him, as well as finally be willing to pony up LOTS of money to fund the NIL, you can forget about USC football being relevant.
Oh and hire a top flight head coach who can actually coach, has connections for top assistants and be willing to mingle with the alums, fans and students and take part in social functions.

In the 15 years since Pete left, and taking out the Sam and Caleb Williams years, USC is averaging about a 7-5 season. More of that, if not worse, is on the way.

Geez Louise, wolfman! Sir Lincoln of Riley can’t develop WR, OL RB or LB positions! Yet the dummies of Southern Cal paying him Saban-money (for Hacket-results!)
not even the faintest whiff of a natty since the great Norm Chow left town because of Cheaty Peaty’s jealousy!
