USC Did About Face On Spring Game

Here is how USC works. Some donors had been told as recently as last week by athletic dept. employees to “Be sure to come to the spring game” and then this week, Lincoln Riley decides to cancel the game.

You think fans, former players and donors are happy with that decision?

Do you think fans, former players or donors matter with Riley?

Couldn’t they at least have a light, harmless practice where fans are allowed at the Coliseum and can interact with the team (not Riley)?

I bet Riley has at least three scrimmages during spring practice and one at the Coliseum.

He’s the king of bad decisions.

  2. Well maybe it is time for another about face. If Jen tells Riley that the donors and fan base want a Spring game and so does she then we have a Spring game. Was really looking forward to watching Husan Longstreet play. He looked very good in the Polynesian Bowl. He is mobile, can throw on the run, and seems to make good decisions.

    1. Not that arm strength is everything, but Longstreet threw the ball nearly 80 yards on the fly at the Polynesian Bowl. At the age of 17. How many NFL starting QBs can do that? Perhaps Mahomes, Allen, Herbert…any others?

  6. As one of the posters remarked yesterday, the spring game allowed families who couldn’t afford a regular game to go to the Coli and enjoy USC football. What a shame. What is happening is pushing us further and further away from what USC football once was.

        Yesterday Gabby admitted that he had no intention of appearing for a boxing match. “Nobody fights over what is said on a blog.” He was incredulous that anyone should ask for an apology. (Posting fraudulently as steveg) In Gabby’s world, men are not the protectors and providers for their families. You can insult their wives, daughters, and mothers with impunity. He has has no code of honor and therefore believes that nobody else should live by one. Although he admits that he will not back up his words with a boxing match, he has now dishonesty posted at least 10 times the exact same response about how he showed up at the gym in Miami. Is this suppose to be amusing? Please stop ruining our blog with repetitive copy and paste posts.
