The over/under for USC’s regular-season victory total is 7.5 according to BetOnline.
That’s the same figure Betline had for USC in 2024.
My first impulse is to say this is low given USC’s relatively easy schedule which includes Missouri State and Georgia Southern.
I would have expected the over/under to be at least 8 or 8.5.
Here are the over/under totals for the Big Ten:
Big Ten
Illinois 7½
Indiana 8½
Iowa 7½
Maryland 4½
Michigan 9
Michigan State 5½
Minnesota 6½
Nebraska 7½
Northwestern 3½
Ohio State 10½
Oregon 10½
Penn State 10½
Purdue 3
Rutgers 5½
UCLA 5
USC 7½
Washington 7½
Wisconsin 5½
Well, we should be able to beat Missouri State, Georgia Southern, Purdue, and Michigan State at home to start 4-0. Then we have Nebraska, Northwestern, and UCLA. Those should be solid wins for at least 7 victories. So the bookie is saying we can’t ick out at least one victory from Illinois, Notre Dame, Iowa, and Oregon to beat the spread. Pathetic.

If SC had a real coach, I’d say 10, but I’ll go with 7

Michigan, ND, Oregon, Illinois, will be difficult, maybe Iowa can be a win. But it is looking like 7-5, 8-4. The bookies seem to be sensible.
