Have you noticed something missing in media reports about Chad Bowden leaving Notre Dame for USC?

“I knew I was coming to USC,” Bowden said Monday. “When in an hour time span I talked to Jen (Cohen) and Lincoln (Riley) and had voiced my aspirations and what I believe college football is going to be in the new era and how aggressive I’d like to be in that new era, and they were spot on and shared a lot of the same thoughts as I did. That’s a huge reason as to why I chose to leave a great situation. Because I felt like this was better.”

Here’s a small factor that might have convinced Bowden to leave: He made $300,000 at Notre Dame and will make $1 million at USC. Maybe “that’s a huge reason” Bowden “chose to leave a great situation.”
