Morning Buzz: A Relief for USC Staff In Recruiting

Some USC staffers are breathing a sigh of relief with Chad Bowden in charge of recruiting.

Why? Because Lincoln Riley had told at least one staff member that he did not want big-name players from the past coming to recruiting events.

No one relished the idea of telling some USC legend their services were not required for recruiting.

Now that Bowden is in charge, they are hoping this issue just sort of goes away.

“We might be allowed to discuss the Pete Carroll era now,” a USC staff member said.

    • Love that score board picture showing how Maiava was responsible for all 4 touchdowns. Perhaps he is not receiving his due, he might be exceptional this year, which one hopes for because great quarterbacks can win an extra game or 2

  4. I can’t understand why you would not want someone like Matt Leinert at a recruiting event. If the players don’t remember him their parents will. And he went to Mater Dei and had a kid who played there a few years back. Matt Barkley works too. So does Amon Rai.

It is not exactly a political rant but its the best he can do with his limited political knowledge and creativity. Hell, yesterday he claimed that NASA, not SpaceX, retrieved the astronauts abandoned by Biden.
