USC Notes: Receiver Shuts Down Recruitment

Five-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr., who is committed to Ohio State, has canceled visits to USC, Oregon an Miami.

  2. Chris Henry Jr. is not a California kid. He moved here for one year to play in the Mater Dei farm system. No big loss. We never had a chance with him and we should always be able to find some good receivers.

  3. “I want to be a buckeye.” Why? Has the kid ever spent a summer in Columbus, Ohio. Hot, humid, and full of bugs. Winters may be worse than the summers. About 65,000 students attend the college. Its about 5 square miles large and you need a bicycle or moped to go from one part of the college to another. How do you develop friendships in such an environment?

    He should have said “I want to play professional football and I think this collegiate team gives me the best chance to do it. And I will be paid like a Pro while in college.”
