USC Notes: Another Receiver Commits

USC has received a commitment from three-star wide receiver Roderick Tezeno Jr. from Opelousas, La.

He chose USC over Tulane, Kentucky and Houston.

  • For the diehard USC women’s basketball fans, there was hope the Trojans would land Wisconsin post player Serah Williams. But Williams committed to UConn today.

At the moment, the Trojans don’t look close to being a potential Final Four team.

Instead, today USC received a commitment from Auburn forward Yakiya Milton. She averaged just 1.9 points per game. That’s a far cry from last year.

Cowardly Gabby embarrasses himself with every post. But why does he do it. Here is an excerpt from a recent abstract on why narcissistic personalities engage in antisocial behavior. It could be one of two reasons or both.

“Narcissists seem to disregard social-etiquette norms. For example, narcissists are more likely to brag (Buss & Chiodo, 1991), behave aggressively toward others (Barry et al., 2006, Bushman and Baumeister, 1998, Stucke and Sporer, 2002, Twenge and Campbell, 2003), and use offensive language (DeWall et al., 2011, Holtzman et al., 2010). Although it is well-known that narcissists are prone to break social-etiquette norms, the underlying causes for this tendency remain largely unclear. One possibility is that narcissists break social-etiquette norms as a means of grabbing people’s attention (the “attention-seeking” hypothesis; Buss and Chiodo, 1991, DeWall et al., 2011). An additional possibility is that narcissists, for various reasons, simply perceive such norm violations as less offensive than non-narcissists (the “insensitivity” hypothesis; Collins & Stukas, 2008)

Maybe you can get in on the counselling with your fellow Sore Loserman Democrats: As reported by Punchbowl News, Jamie Raskin, the House Judiciary Committee Ranking Democrat Member, has enlisted psychologists to help Democrats on the panel cope with President Donald Trump’s first week in office. If the recruitment of psychologists by a House Democrat leader doesn’t convince skeptics that TDS is real, I’m not sure what would.

The purpose of the session, according to multiple attendees, was to counsel Democrats about how to approach conflict and effectively combat what Raskin described as “authoritarian styles of speech.” Another attendee said Judiciary Democrats were also advised to avoid devolving into partisan mud-slinging — a more common hallmark of the House Oversight Committee, which Raskin previously led as the top Democrat.

During a retreat last week for Judiciary Democrats, Raskin — the new ranking member of the key panel — hosted Jim Coan, a University of Virginia professor of psychology, and Hal Movius, a consultant who specializes in “negotiation,” “influence,” “emotion regulation,” “leadership” and “organizational development.” Coan’s “recent work emphasizes the neural systems supporting social forms of emotion regulation,” according to his bio with UVa. The retreat was held at the Library of Congress.

  1. KAM: Tim Walz Still Believes MSM’s ¿Quién Es Más Macho? Shtick About Him.

DON: Part of creating the Kamala Harris fiction out of whole cloth involved turning her running mate Tim Walz into a believable human being. They pitched him as some sort of testosterone-laden man’s man who disenfranchised males would flock to. It was a story so patently absurd that only one person in America bought it — Tim Walz…. oh wait, maybe two- Cowardly Gabby.
