Poll Overwhelmingly Shows Fans Want USC-Notre Dame Rivalry To Continue

A resounding 82.4 percent of poll respondents said they would not sacrifice the USC-Notre Dame game even if it meant a smoother path to the College Football Playoff for the Trojans.

The poll was conducted by the Los Angeles Times and USC Dornsife.

The good part of the poll is it confirms what most believe: Few outside of Lincoln Riley want the USC-Notre Dame rivalry to end.

I’ve previously cautioned about listening to USC social media trolls who have decided to adopt Riley’s position and pretend USC must eliminate the Notre Dame game to make the schedule easier. They are an irrelevant minority.

It’s also a useful poll for Jen Cohen, who would destroy her image at USC by canceling the rivalry.

  2. I hope the next USC President is made aware of this poll and others like it and demands/orders Jen Cohen to continue the ND rivalry long term regardless of what Lincoln Riley wants or thinks…..

    The Washington Post claims “a million foreign-born workers have exited the workforce since March.” The Post frames this as “a sign of the weakening labor supply.” Yet the paper also notes, “Average hourly wages accelerated, rising by 0.4 percent over the month, to $36.24 in May, as earnings continue to beat inflation in a boost to workers’ spending power.”

    DON: In other words, with fewer illegal immigrants, businesses had to raise wages to attract workers.

Some estimates say that almost half reside in California. And in California they get free health care, food stamps, rent subsidies, SSI, a free public education, ect. The state can’t afford to pay for it and is bankrupt. So what is our one party state controlled by democrats going to do about it? No answers forthcoming but if you try to deport illegals with a criminal record they will oppose that.

I will earn a certain amount of hatred for saying this …but… I favor deporting everyone with a criminal record [not only acquired here —but already having one when they entered]…..but granting those with clean records & who are gainfully employed a fast track to citizenship [for reasons having to do more with economics than law or morality]. It’s not realistic to think congress is going to fund the deportation of 30 million illegals….
