USC gave out seven game balls for the Missouri State game. Seven!
Safety Bishop Fitzgerald, defensive end Garrett Pomerantz, tight end Carson Tabaracci, linebacker Matai Tagoa’i, tailback King Miller, offfensive line Kaylon Miller and kicker Ryon Sayeri received game balls.
What about Carol Folt? Or interim president Beong-Soo Kim?
- The USC band is playing the theme from Jaws on defensive third downs this season because “sharks patrol the defense, circling the opponent’s offense and striking with relentless precision.”
We’ll see how the sharks do when USC plays some good teams.

- Here comes a documentary on Lane Kiffin.

“IF IT IS TO BE, ITS UP TO ME!”
Nobody ever accused Raveling of being a DEI hire.

But he certainly would have found the MAGAs to be not to his taste

Why would he find Making America Great Again “not to his taste.” I doubt that Rav embraces the Democratic party values of victimhood, reparations, racial and ethnic divisions, free government handouts, defund the police, no cash bail, prolonged work and school lockdowns, open borders, and the normalization of sexual perversions. His “IF IT IS TO BE, ITS UP TO ME” is consistent with taking personal responsibility for your life, a merit based philosophy of goal setting, vision, dedication, hard work, and risking taking. MAGA embraces these values and I bet George did too.

I don’t think Kiff is all that interesting. He certainly is no George Raveling

Kiffin was never on a level playing field at USC. How do you compete when Paul Dees/NCAA imposes a 30 scholarship penalty. You don’t have enough bodies. No depth. And teams exploited it with the no huddle offenses against a gassed Trojan defense.

When Raveling was at Pullman, I was told he could remember the names of everyone he was introduced to even after years of not seeing that person again. In his younger years his dad told him to go to DC for MLK’s speech and somehow he was asked to be a security person on the platform next to the podium. When MLK broke from his prepared speech and left the original on the podium George secured the speech. He was offered millions for it but donated it the University of Villanova.

Wow, that is quite a story. So the “I have a dream” speech or maybe part of it was impromptu.

He didn’t need a speechwriter.
