USC Notes: People Love Definitive Judgments After 2 Games

I’m not sure how people — including Lincoln Riley — can make definitive judgments on the offensive line based on games vs. Missouri State and Georgia Southern.

Some people are using Pro Football Focus scores, which is a horrible way to evaluate against inferior teams. How much criticism did you hear after the Missouri State game about right guard Alani Noa? But Riley benched him for Micah Banuelos against Georgia Southern.

The schedule will pick up eventually and then we can make true judgments.

  • I want to tell a story about the banner below. It originally flew at the Coliseum. But USC removed it (and all the other championship banners). Inexplicably, it actually shredded the other banners.

But a dedicated fan convinced workers to preserve the banner — against their initial wishes — and it was saved.

You could fill a huge warehouse with banners, trophies, pictures and other memorabilia USC has destroyed over the years. A lot of stuff simply got thrown out when Heritage Hall was renovated.

About a decade ago, there was a famous pair of cleats that were lent to the athletic dept. And the player told me USC lost them.

    🚨

SHOCKING REVELATION: In a stunning admission, the Democrat Los Angeles County Sheriff revealed that his department has ignored all 435 ICE detainer requests this year, releasing convicted illegal immigrants back into the community instead of detaining them for federal authorities.

    DON: Insurrection!

    1. It supposed to be a representative democracy. The politicians do what the people who they represent want them to do. No more. Nobody wants convicted criminal illegal immigrants back on the streets but that is what all the politicians in Blue cities are doing. Insanity. The destruction of a nation.

      1. KAM: The man whose lies helped propel B LM, causing d e a t h, r i o t s, and destruction, has died in a f a t a l s h o o t i n g in Ferguson, Missouri.

In 2014, R a c i s t B l a c k Democrat Dorian Johnson witnessed his friend Michael “The Gentle Giant” Brown rush a white police officer named Darren Wilson after committing a robbery in Ferguson.

        The officer f a t a l l y s h o t Brown in self-defense.

But before the truth finally came out, lies were spread about the k i l l i n g by Johnson, which created a national media-fueled outrage that was driven on by the later-debunked  Fake News Media/Obama/Democrats ‘Hands up, Don’t S h o o t’ chant and narrative.

         Johnson d i e d on Sunday, less than a mile from where Brown was k i l l e d.

         No police were involved…

The Fake News and Democrats are missing the irony that a person who sparked an anti-police crusade d i e d by the very v i o l e n c e that more policing could have helped prevent.

  2. Beating Illinois at Illinois is a heavy lift after such an easy start…. but if we beat either Oregon or Notre Dame at their places we’re a pretty darn good team….

    1. How the might have fallen when beating Illinois at their place is now considered a tough game

Apparently beating Maryland and Minnesota at their place is hard now

      1. karma — take a look at the players Illinois has: they were [almost] ALL highly recruited by the top teams in the country…

….and they have one of the most experienced first teams in the country…..

      2. KAM: The Sporting News Preseason Poll had USC #32 and Duke at #42 and 7th in the ACC.

DON: So both USC and Duke were considered above average but not Top 25 teams.

      1. Lol, the jury is always out on Oregon since they choke their chicken worse than fake gabby

You beat Oregon by being physical with them, something Riley isn’t capable of doing.

Who was the player Scott! Why is it a secret. The secrecy surrounding this football program is just weird.

    1. KAM: Wow. Cowardly Gabby wants to promote the fake letter the Wall Street Journal is getting sued for.

DON: If you are going to do a fake, get a better forger, Cowardly Gabby.

      1. Why not? She and her ilk promoted the fake President they claimed in 2020 did not have dementia. Smart, informed people knew he already did.

      2. KAM: “Smart and informed” doesn’t describe Cowardly Gabby.

DON: She is a full mooner lib like Tranny Bruin and trojsteve5. No amount of facts will overcome their brainwashing. Now these stupid Democrats are defending murderers and blaming people for noticing that Democrat run cities are 3rd world h e l l holes. It’s fun to remind them that Democrats once embraced Trump’s current policies… but nothing will overcome their closed minds.https://x.com/mazemoore/status/1965054020852334657?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1965054020852334657%7Ctwgr%5E19048fed688e22dd1c8eb63581c3c489d1335ecb%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Finstapundit.com%2F742732%2Flol
