JuJu Watkins To Miss 2025-26 Season

JuJu Watkins announced she will sit out the entire 2025-26 to recover from her torn ACL.

“These last few months have been filled with a lot of healing, rest and reflection,” Watkins said. “Recovering from this injury hasn’t been easy, and I want to say thank you — your love, support and kind words have truly lifted me up during one of the most challenging times in my life.

“Because you’ve been with me every step of the way, I wanted you to hear it from me directly that, following the advice of my doctors and trainers, I will sit out this season and fully focus on continuing to recover so I can come back to the game I love.”

But will she play again for USC?

  1. What a lousy way to end the weekend.

But I do want her to do what’s best for her. I’ll be bummed if she never plays for USC again, but will root for her for the rest of her career!

  2. KAM: JuJu is playing this for her upcoming professional basketball contracts. And the fact her serious injury requires 2-years to heal right.

DON: Meanwhile, back in SC football land the Trojan boo birds are flying about complaining about SC and Coach Lynn’s alleged defense

KAM: You know the Trojan defenders are doing their best, but the fact is sometimes ‘your best’ isn’t good enough

DON: Talent, it’s all in the talent, coaches be dam-d. Sorry coaches. But give me Reggie Bush and i will “coach” him like this: “Get that ball Bush and take it all the way”

    1. KAM:Illegal alien makes $305,000 a year as a Superintendent in Iowa!

ICE agents on Friday arrested Des Moines Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Ian Andre Roberts, an illegal alien fugitive from Guyana who had been living under a deportation order since May 2024.

According to Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, Roberts fled from ICE agents in his car once they identified themselves, speeding away before abandoning the vehicle and attempting to escape on foot. He was ultimately found hiding in shrubbery with the assistance of an Iowa State Police K9.

Inside his vehicle, agents recovered a loaded Glock 19 handgun, a fixed-blade hunting knife, and $3,000 in cash. Roberts reportedly has a prior weapons arrest dating back to 2020.

Despite this, Roberts was hired as Superintendent of Des Moines Public Schools in July 2023, after a national search process involving an outside firm.

He was granted a superintendent license by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners in the same year, with an FBI criminal background check that somehow failed to flag his immigration issues.

DON: Some caring Democrat educrat must have looked the other way. But Democrats say he was doing the job no American would do…

      1. KAM: But we are still ahead of UCLA!

DON: Now that the season is over in September all we have to look forward to is beating that pathetic team.

  3. DON: Illinois having the ball at the end against our defense was like in 2005 when ‘Texas and Young’ had the ball in the last minute, Both times Trojan fans watched helplessly as the inevitable unfolded

KAM: Shades of last season when SC first invaded the Midwest, sprinkling little ‘joys of winning’ for the hometown folks everywhere they went

  4. This news is all the more reason to be disappointed about Kayleigh Heckel and Avery Howell jumping ship. They, along with Kennedy Smith, made it a heck of a freshman class last season.

ABC’s Tony Cabrera just announced that she won’t be eligible for the WNBA draft until 2027! So, we should see her next season. WHEW!

  5. Does USC have to pay an athlete NIL money when they miss an entire season due to injury. I suppose it depends on the contract but what is the general practice if anyone knows.

    1. Legally speaking USC could, in my opinion, probably take back the money —but it could turn into a public relations nightmare….

I know just what you mean
    James Dean
You said it all so clean
And I know my life would look all right
If I could see it on the silver screen

You were the low-down rebel if there ever was
Even if you had no cause (James Dean)
You said it all so clean
And I know my life would look all right
If I could see it on the silver screen

    We’ll talk about a low-down bad refrigerator
You were just too cool for school
Sock hop, soda pop, basketball and auto shop
The only thing that got you off was breakin’ all the rules

    So hungry and so lean
    James Dean
You said it all so clean
And I know my life would look all right
If I could see it on the silver screen

Little James Dean up on the screen
    Wonderin’ who he might be
Along came a Spyder and picked up a rider
Took him down the road to eternity

  7. A player like JuJu will probably make more in college than she would in the wnba. I’m not so sure that she will leave early. Chance to play with jazzy next year…
