The day started in Chicago with the USC band performing at Navy Pier.

Then you make the 90-mile drive on the Indiana Toll Road and Notre Dame Stadium looks perfect for the game (today at least).

Meanwhile, there is a line to light candles and pray at the famous Grotto on campus.

Interesting observation, Ed. G.
Barstow is where a certain keyboard warrior always suggests, as a way of hiding from other posters (knowing no one in their right mind is going to drive there) and South Bend is a place that Riley is scared of & hiding from in future years.

I think we’d be remiss if we didn’t thank our Scott for these fantastic photos of a setting the USC football team may very well never see again.

That’s neat how ND has their history of national championship years marked by plaques as you walk down the tunnel into the stadium

–The only thing missing is on game day the Notre Dame band marching from the Grotto into the stadium as they play the iconic ND fight song

Clearly Scott Wolf won’t address the elephant in the room which causing this precious and dear rivalry to die a premature death. So for all the 11 people who still read this message board I will shed light on why college athletics has finally paid the Devil their soul for useless gold shillings. USC has to squeeze Notre Dame because only the richest 3 schools can win a football championship. So when the “non-profit” CaliPERS comes with $2 billion for the greedy old men (who have substantially more wealth than the whiny, myopic wannabees) prostitute the young people who make this game so great, it’s not surprising that the Devil has now shown what the Devil wanted since the University of Chicago said “no more” in 1950.
Blood, suffering and servitude for entertainment. Values be damned. Caligula and Nero would be jealous if they were alive today.

Miller looks pretty good behind a line that more or less protects him.
[And he did us a favor by taking out Miami—-but it’s only a favor if we take care of business tomorrow].
