Here’s something to consider in the defensive coordinator search: Maybe the new DC won’t mind keeping current assistants. But does he want to keep assistant coaches who want the job and probably won’t be happy if they don’t get it?
It’s not a great situation at the moment.
- I see some Notre Dame fans are stressed out about the Irish currently not signing a lot of players in the transfer portal. Maybe Lincoln Riley will change his mind and put the Notre Dame back on the schedule.
- Husan Longstreet is considering entering the transfer portal according to CBS Sports. Nothing wrong with that. Also, with USC’s NIL money, it’s pretty easy to sign another quarterback to start in 2027 if it needs one.
- Defensive lineman Jide Abasiri has re-signed with the USC Trojans.
- Wide receiver Terrell Anderson of North Carolina State has committed to USC.
- Former USC wide receiver Zacariah Branch has decided to enter his name in the NFL Draft.
- Looks like Pete Carroll will have no problems teaching his spring semeter class at USC. He did get the Raiders the No. 1 pick in the draft.
Here’s about the one millionith example of how being nothing more than a USC homer ruins your credibility when you are a pundit.
Pete for DC!

If only! Would Pete’s ego allow him to work under Lincoln Riley? Could make Pete de facto DC and call him “Senior Adviser to the HC”, which sounds important, but then Riley’s ego wouldn’t go for that.

No way Riley or Jen allow Pete anywhere near the program. Pete knows that Riley is not a championship coach and Riley knows that Pete knows it. Riley views Pete as a threat.

Yeah, it’s a crazy idea. Dxmbass acts as if I don’t know that.
But crazy is probably the way we need to go! Cuz this sh*t ain’t working! 🤪
Pete Carroll may be the perfect defensive coordinator for USC in 2026

Of course, I’m referring to Dxmbass above, not you, Plow Horse.

KAM:
1. Drop the insults and name-calling
Personal attacks, slurs, violent threats, doxxing posters, naming their home address and wife’s name and mocking language instantly shut down any chance of goodwill. Even people who might agree with her points will tune out once it turns hostile.
2. Respond to ideas, not people
Instead of attacking someone’s character (“meet me in Barstow,” etc.), focus on the argument itself. For example: criticize a policy, statistic, or sports take—without attacking the person posting it.
3. Stop re-litigating old posts
Digging up months-old comments about fighting posters in Barstow to shame others keeps conflict alive. Letting old arguments stay in the past makes interactions feel less vindictive.
4. Tone down repetition and spamming
Posting the same accusations or threats of violence, threatening to show up at their place of residence or using hundreds of aliases over and over reads as harassment, not debate. Fewer, calmer posts would go a long way.
5. Change your tone
A neutral or friendly tone matters more than “winning.” Even disagreeing politely (“We’ll have to agree to disagree” without threatening to attack them) changes how people perceive you.
6. Model the behavior you want back
If Cowardly Gabby wants respect, she has to show it first. Calm, concise, and civil posts tend to de-escalate others—even in toxic threads.
DON: Bottom line:
Cowardly Gabby doesn’t need to change her opinions to be nicer—just her delivery. Less hostility, more restraint, less animal d e f e ca t i o n videos, less doxxing and stalking and insulting the wives of posters here and a focus on discussion instead of domination would make her far more welcome.

Coach O for DC then.

The top tier programs who are looking at the portal for quarterback help are making decisions right now. It is not the time for Longstreet to “consider.” He needs to get off the pot and make a decision. Unless this is a negotiating tactic to get more NIL money.

KAM: No. 12 Michigan State routs overrated USC, 80-51
DON: The #24th ranked Trojans, coming off a 30-point loss to No. 2 Michigan, are probably ready to go home after getting routed twice in the state of Michigan, but they’ll be in the Midwest for four more days because they play at Minnesota before flying back to California. Did then-USC President Carol Folt ever think this kind of nightmarish scheduling in the dead of winter might happen when she decided to have USC leave the Pac 12? USC is now tied for 13th in the Big Ten.

I think we undervalue Scott’s focus….speaking from personal experience I can tell you he’s limiting comments to USC related topics …and reducing the snipping….
That’s not an easy job with the likes of us but he’s doing it [although his efforts to guide Sybil away from anti-social conduct won’t succeed]….
