USC Sunday Buzz: Lane Kiffin Shows Lincoln Riley How To Do It

Does anyone have any video of Lincoln Riley interacting with USC fans like this?

  • Grant Govel and Cameron Faussett combined on a seven-inning, no-hitter in an 11-0 victory over Pepperdine last night at Dedeaux Field.

Govel struck out 10 and walked one in six innings. The game went only seven innings because of the mercy rule. Andrew Lamb and Dean Carpentier homered for the Trojans, the first home runs at the Dedeaux Field. Kevin Takeuchi went 3 for 4 with four RBI.

  • UCLA defeated USC in water polo yesterday, 10-9. This will surprise no one who has followed the USC water polo programs the past few years.

  1. Scott, I am glad to see that Lane Kiffin is maturing and building his culture at LSU. I really don’t care if LR is into public relations; as long as he spends his time making our team better. As we have said on this site over and over, the proof will be in next year’s team. I liked Pete Carroll not because I once shook his hand in his office, but rather because he led our team to championships.

Congratulations to the baseball team for their great start. They are obviously getting great coaching.

The loss to UCLA in women’s water polo was frustrating, but it is not the final match of the season. UCLA always has a great women’s team; so, it is no shame to lose by one goal to them, but we do have the opportunity to beat them in the NCAA tournament.

Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962

    1. Same here: I don’t care about Lincoln’s self-protective personality if he wins 10 games on this season’s hellish schedule.

Also: Watched the video. I wouldn’t call what Lane is doing “interacting.” More like ‘barely humoring’ fawning fans…..with a “how much longer will this last before I can get outta here?” look on his face. [Bet Lincoln could fake ‘fan love’ better than this]…..
