UCLA coach Mick Cronin, the angry gnome, has made two videos this week for students about attending tonight’s game at the Galen Center.
Eric Musselman? Crickets.
It’s a shame that Musselman, who works harder than any coach trying to drum up interest in the program, has gone MIA this week.
It gives the impression, rightly or wrongly, that he has given up. Maybe he is sore that USC can’t win a game lately.
But tonight is still a chance for him to get his first win over UCLA and he needs a fired-up student section.
This is the danger when you a lot of promotion. It looks weird when you suddenly stop.

The BB head coach is acting weird. Getting depressed over losses and not motivating the remaining players to understand their opportunity is not what good coaches do. If Muss has given up as Scott says, then he should do the right thing and resigne. This team was the team that he recruited rightly or wrongly. The team has had tough breaks with the Arenas and Rice injuries, as well as, counting on a player who is 26 and has played for five teams. But, that is when you need a positive motivator more than ever. Build a team from the bottom up that has character. The women’s coach needs to do the same. Just remember that Jen Cohen did hire Coach Andy so all of her decisions are not bad. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962
P.S. She also promoted Coach Watts and he got us two NCAA championships.

wolfman, you KNOW i love you like a long lost blood brother, but it takes some Bruin-sized stones to take that cheap shot at Scrappy Mick Cronin. he’s taken the Bruins on three runs in the Tourney, including a Final Four, not including what they do this season!!
his ‘angry” blow-up was calculated to fire up the team, and it led to a season saving rally as they ripped off three of four following wins!! Muscle-Man missed the Tourney in both his first two seasons!! piss-poor, wolfman!
not to mention the Lady Bruins are rolling to their second straight Big-10 champeenship!! you best RECOGNIZE, wolfman!!
