Why can’t USC cover tight ends? Oregon tight end Jamari Johnson was targeted seven times and caught seven passes for 119 yards. He was actually 8 for 8 but a great one-handed catch at the end of the first half was called back for a penalty. Grandpa Patterson doesn’t cover the tight end. Neither did D’Anton Lynn nor Alex Grinch. I first called Lincoln Riley … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Who Is The Fraud Now (Again)?

I said last night this was one of the most shameful USC losses I ever witnessed and now I will explain. It had nothing to do with losing to Oregon. And from a big picture, I can still see both of them doing that whoever wins today. Are Oregon’s offensive and defensive line’s going to finally live up to the hype … Continue reading Pick The USC-Oregon Score
Here’s a question: How many adjustments does Gary Patterson make during games? Based on the Rutgers game, not too many. A former colleague of Patterson attributes it more to arrogance than anything else. “He’s going to do what he likes to do. He’s in the College Football Hall of Fame. What is anyone going to tell him?” Has Lincoln Riley let Gary Patterson speak to … Continue reading If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column
