USC had an epic meltdown on a cold Friday night in Nebraska, blowing a 7-2 eighth-inning lead and losing, 8-7, in 10 innings.
The Trojans lost on a walkoff bunt (see below) and Nebraska scored the tying run on a wild pitch. The bullpen was a disaster, ruining a fine effort by USC ace Mason Edwards, who stuck out 12 and allowed two runs in seven innings.
The attendance was an impressive 6,271,
