The NBA released its list of its of underclassmen who have declared for the NBA Draft and Alijah Arenas was on the list.
Not exactly a surprise but I find it kind of classless to enter the draft without even a statement for the USC fans or a word of appreciation for the basketball program that supported you.
Does this affect USC’s Top 25 ranking from all the pundits recently?
Frankly, I think it’s addition by subtraction because USC will become a more-balanced team now and other players will be able to step up.

Long ago a serial burglar was brought to trial in my courtroom on murder charges. Near midnight he entered the home of the victims, two young men, allegedly to confront them over their intrusion into what he considered his territory. He claimed that during a heated argument the duo drew handguns and he merely responded, k i l li n g both in self-defense. The medical examiner testified that both of the decedents were s h o t in the back of the head at close range, e x e c u t i o n style.
At sentencing, with friends and relatives of the victims present, I asked the defendant if he had anything he’d like to share. He smiled and said, “Looks like I won’t be attending the class reunion this summer.” My disgusted response: “True. This summer. And every summer thereafter.” Then I sentenced him to two life terms without possibility of parole. He laughed as he passed by friends and family of the victims on his way out of the courtroom. That vile, noxious miscreant inhabited an impenetrable self-delusional dimension, the same dimension where fake Gabby dwells.

As I have said time and time again there is no loyalty at all to Musselman after last season. Let’ see he spent about 10 million on players last year including Arenas what a waste of money, and I firmly believe he held for more money this season, and when the account became empty at SC he silently declared for the draft.
To me of all the USC players who left early after their freshman year there is no question is he the least talented at this point including Porter, Collins, but he will be much better than Bronny once the talent is developed. Arenas, will be in the G League for quite some time maybe more than 1 or two seasons.
Can’t blame the guy for leaving Musselman is not a good coach, and the program interest from the fans is sinking under his leadership
All this does not matter — Musselman will be gone after this season.
