Why can’t USC cover tight ends?
Oregon tight end Jamari Johnson was targeted seven times and caught seven passes for 119 yards. He was actually 8 for 8 but a great one-handed catch at the end of the first half was called back for a penalty.
Grandpa Patterson doesn’t cover the tight end. Neither did D’Anton Lynn nor Alex Grinch.
- I first called Lincoln Riley a fraud about 4-5 years ago. Paul Finebaum used the same word this morning: “Everybody knows who the fraud is. It’s Lincoln Riley…this guy is bringing your program down to the gutter.”
- One of Riley’s biggest media supporters, Josh Pate, also seems to finally have had enough. “I’m done. Lincoln Riley’s not going to do it for me. I’m done.”
- Why doesn’t Lincoln Riley let Gary Patterson speak to the media? Patterson has more experience doing it than anyone at USC. And it would be great to know why he is doing certain things schematically with the defense.
- Did everyone forget how Riley said the new football building was going to make a huge difference?
