USC Saturday Buzz: Uphill Climb For Donations

An employee with USC’s NIL collective says it continues to be an uphill climb for donations from well-heeled boosters, particularly because of frustrations with Lincoln Riley.

“He’s not popular,” the employee said. “They don’t like his coaching and they don’t know him.”

  • Former USC tennis player Learner Tien has become the youngest male athlete to reach the Australian Open Round of 16 since Rafael Nadal.
  • Time for another SCTV video. Rick Moranis does the best-ever impression of Dick Cavett. And John Candy as Julia Child boxing Mr. Rogers is also must-see.

  1. I wonder if the Palisade fire will have any impact on NIL donations. A lot of wealthy USC graduates lived in the Palisades.

      1. The entire time they accused Trump of being a traitor, that is what they were doing in putting up a vegetable to play the part of being the President.

So much blood on their hands, those scumbags. But a dozen of people die from a shooting and they pretend to care about lives, ignoring the more than 1M who have died because of this feeble, weak, incompetent administration!

      3. Her lies are hilarious. 400K died on Trump’s watch. Almost 900K on Joe’s watch, after he claimed he would do so much better with it.

  2. HEY JOHN AND EVERYONE

i was sitting in a bar when a horse walked in and ordered a martini with two olives in it. The horse promptly drank it down then paid for it and trotted out. I SAID TO THE BARTENDER THATS THE MOST AMAZING THING IVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. He answered Nah. lots of my customers like two olives in their martinis !!!

    1. A string walks into the bar. It goes up to the bar and the bartender says, “Sorry we don’t serve your kind here.” The string goes, “Okay, fine then, I’ll leave” and storms out, mad. The string is upset he couldn’t get in so he comes up with an idea that he’ll disguise himself, so he ruffles up his hair, he ties himself, and then he walks into the bar again, he sits down, and the bartender goes, “Aren’t you that string I just kicked out of here?” And the string goes, “No. I’m a frayed knot.”

    1. Very experienced coach. Apparently, USC now has the most expensive coaching staff in the country. Longstreet, the 5 star QB commit, looked great yesterday in the all-star high school Hawaii game. Maybe there is a chance…

      1. Always a chance 67. Young offensive line played well in Vegas. Makai Lemon is a stud. We get Gentry back. Some big boys from the transfer portal on the defensive line. Ramsey returns. And I like the young cornerbacks – Williams and Conley. If Maiava improves or Longstreet is ready we should win some games next year. (Admittedly, lots of “if”) We have an easy schedule.
