Christmas Buzz: Maybe It Would Be Better For Some To Remain Silent On USC-Notre Dame

Matt Leinart finally broke his silence on USC-Notre Dame and we all would have been better off if he hadn’t.

“Call me lame but I’m going to trust a school that’s produced more Heisman winners than anyone else in history and 11 National Championships to do what’s right for the program,” Leinart tweeted.

Excuse me? How many of those 11 titles were won by Lincoln Riley and Jen Cohen? Zero.

Trust is earned. Not given. Should we also trust USC to make the right coaching hire given the track record since Pete Carroll departed?

But we all might trust USC too if they constantly glazed us the way the university does Leinart. He is protecting his interests.

But Leinart also made his reputation off the USC-Notre Dame game, so it would have been better to not tarnish his legacy by trying to placate the athletic dept.

KAM: If you really cared about the downtrodden you wouldn’t support the California One Party Democrat Rule under Governor Mimbo that promised to end homelessness but instead can’t account for $24 billion dollars that was appropriated since 2019 to do just that. The State Audit found that Governor Mimbo’s regime is not accurately tracking a number of critical items, specifically, whether or not any of the programs it funds actually reduce homelessness.

      DON: You wouldn’t support the Democrat Party that allowed LA to burn, hasn’t facilitated rebuilding and has done exactly zero to prevent future fires and conserve water, all in the name of liberalism, environmentalism and Global Warming. You are a liberal windbag, Mr. Grinch.

  4. Also probably posted this around Christmas to avoid it being noticed as much with everyone busy with the holiday.

    But all of those accolades Leinart noted were all reached WITH the Notre Dame rivalry and, im sure party because of it, not despite it. So it’s a meaningless, silly comment.

    I thought Gabby said a few days back that he was going to the USC marching band pep rally today at the Palms at 2:00 and wanted to “meet up” with Scott. Instead, he spent the day trolling the blog. Once again a threat followed by a no show. That’s our Cowardly Gabby. All talk, no walk.

    DON: That’s how we know Cowardly Gabby is The Coward of the County. If she really lived in Las Vegas like she pretended to, she would be a total coward for not showing up to confront Scott that day after wasting 25 years stalking him on this site.

      1. Thanks for the Christmas greeting. My Christmas wish is that Scott would stop being a Grinch. USC has great teams in all sports, and we are competitive in all sports. UCLA has not had one football championship which they shared with Maryland in 1954 while we have had seven since 1954. Count our blessings. We had to wait 23 years for John McKay to win our fifth in 1962. Anticipation is part of the enjoyment of victory. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962
