USC has not announce what class Pete Carroll is “teaching” next semester. But this would be my guess. A course where he is co-teaching and can pretend not to make it about sports but the “entrepreneurial” mindset. Carroll was in Seattle on Friday night and met with Jen Cohen and others at a USC reception. The USC’s offensive line posted a season-high 81.0 grade vs … Continue reading USC Notes: What Will Pete Carroll Be Doing?
Has anyone heard from USC defensive line coach Eric Henderson? No sacks from his unit against Washington. Does anyone think Huskies QB Will Rogers is fast? According to Pro Football Focus, only one defensive end had a quarterback pressure against Washington (Sam Greene). Braylan Shelby (42 snaps), Jamil Muhammad (32) and Kameryn Fountain (30 snaps) combined for zero pressures. Now most of these players are … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: The Defense Rests
Did you enjoy watching the rerun in Seattle on Saturday night? Didn’t it look like every other USC loss? If Lincoln Riley didn’t make $10 million a year, someone might think he was throwing Saturday’s game. How else can you explain the playcalling? So maybe it’s time to bring back that … Continue reading Sunday Buzz: My Washington Loss Analysis/Riley Needs To Go Column
Lincoln Riley blew the game when he refused to run the ball in the first half . . . and even after taking the lead. He is a smug joke. What was he thinking? Why is he in the shotgun on fourth-and-goal at the 1-yard line? I don’t know how USC fans can take it. Continue reading Discuss The Game
Jedd the Fisch overcoaching at quarterback. USC finally runs the ball and then springs a TD pass to Makai Lemon. Washington 20, USC 14. The USC offense hasn’t improved all season and is bang average. USC gets a TD but then gives up a 50-yard kick return and the Huskies need only 1:48 to score another TD. Washington 17, USC 7. Lincoln Riley really doesn’t … Continue reading USC-Washington Live Blog
Washington has a lot of injuries and Jedd the Fisch is an overrated coach. But in spite of that, I’m picking the Huskies to win today, 27-24. Why? Because Lincoln Riley has burned me the past three Big Ten road games. So I would rather be wrong today and USC win than have Riley burn me for a fourth straight road game. Who are you … Continue reading USC Saturday Buzz: Not Getting Burned Today
