USC Basketball Transfer Madness Continues

I’ve been critical of USC basketball for only taking mid-major transfers but that changed today when Auburn’s Chad Baker-Mazara committed. He averaged 12.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists. He is Auburn’s second-leading scorer last season. No sooner did Baker-Mazara, then Keonte Jones of Cal State Northridge decommitted from USC. The basketball portal is a joke. By the way, Baker-Mazara will be 26 years old … Continue reading USC Basketball Transfer Madness Continues

USC basketball star commit Alijah Arenas was involved in a serious car crash early Thursday morning, hospitalized and placed into an induced coma, according to Shams Charania. TMZ reports Arenas crashed his Tesla Cybertruck in a Los Angeles neighborhood and emergency responders arrived at the scene at 4:55 a.m. By the time fire dept. personnel arrived, everyone had made it out of the truck but … Continue reading Alijah Arenas Involved In Serious Car Crash

USC Guard Desmond Claude Enters Transfer Portal

So now USC’s top two scorers — Claude and Wesley Yates — have left after one season. Were they Trojans? It’s really a joke how players come and go in college sports. There’s little bond anymore. No reason … Continue reading USC Guard Desmond Claude Enters Transfer Portal

USC Adds Mid-Major Transfer

Eric Musselman is putting together a nice little team with mid-major transfers. The latest is Jaden Brownell, a 6-9 junior forward from Samford. He averaged 14 points and shot 40 percent on 3-pointers. Those are nice stats. Hopefully, he can do it in the Big Ten and not just the Southern Conference. Where is the replacement for Wesley Yates? Maybe it will be Maryland guard Rodney … Continue reading USC Adds Mid-Major Transfer

Wesley Yates Back To Washington

Wesley Yates, who was arguably USC’s top basketball player, is returning to Washington, where he spent the 2023-24 season. This means he will also face USC next season. Yates started 24 of 33 games for USC and averaged 14.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. Former USC assistant coach Tony Bland is an assistant at Washington. USC is making a strong … Continue reading Wesley Yates Back To Washington
