Don’t worry, USC won’t play Mississippi in 2025 but it will still have a Southern school on the schedule. The Trojans play Georgia Southern on Sept. 6, 2025. Now that is a game Lincoln Riley fully supported. What’s always funny about USC bragging about moving back to 710-AM is it conveniently ignores the fact that it was on a Zombie station (790-AM) with a mixed … Continue reading USC Notes: Southern School Still On Schedule For 2025
The USC-Mississippi football games scheduled for 2025 and 2026 are officially canceled. This has been known for awhile because the teams’ schedules changed with USC moving to the Big Ten and the SEC adding Texas and Oklahoma. It probably makes Lincoln Riley happy because he doesn’t like playing good teams. More importantly, it ruins the much-anticipated Lane Kiffin homecoming with USC, although it remains to … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Lane Kiffin Games Officially Canceled
A friend said this afternoon on 710-AM, USC football play-by-play announcer Pete Arbogast said the Trojans could go 11-1 this season. I didn’t hear the interview but USC could go 11-1. It could also go 12-0. I suppose it could also go 6-6. Anything is possible. But . . . there is a catch. What happens when the Lakers play? What happens (much less often) when the Rams play? Safe to say USC men’s basketball will be on an alternate station (hopefully) unless streaming becomes … Continue reading USC Returning To 710-AM
Penn State is a 5-point favorite over USC according to Circa Sports. That’s a surprise given the game is at the Coliseum and James Franklin is 12-26 against Top 25 teams. Maybe Circa doesn’t think USC is a Top 25 team. Arizona coach Brent Brennan’s son, Scotty, recently attended the Arizona State football camp. He is a quarterback at Los Gatos High School near San … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: A Surprising Line
Several USC commitments were visiting big schools this weekend. Tailback Harry Dalton visited Alabama; defensive back Hylton Stubbs visited Florida and cornerback Trestin Castro visited Texas. USC baseball coach Andy Stankiewicz has parted ways with pitching coach Seth Etherton, who was the only former Trojan on the staff and did a good job the past 2 seasons. Stankiewicz better hire a heckuva replacement or this … Continue reading USC Sunday Buzz: Busy Weekend For Recruits
