USC Notes: Is Practice Overrated?

Among the players USC announced re-signing today was defensive tackle Jamaal Jarrett. He had three tackles in four games. When USC went to Notre Dame in 1931, the Trojans held two practices during their journey by train. One in Tucson and one in Hutchinson, Kan. The Tucson practice was 45 minutes long! Saturday Buzz: Georgia Likes USC Player

Georgia, Alabama and Oregon are teams interested in former USC defensive tackle Devan Thompkins. Here’s what I know: If Thompkins went to Georgia, he would do better than the Georgia defensive linemen who have transferred to USC. Of course, that’s a fairly low bar to clear.
