USC Morning Buzz: So The Early Start Does Matter

Lincoln Riley on Saturday’s 9 a.m. PT kickoff: “Going from the absolute latest kick in the country to the absolute earliest kick in the country has its challenges, We don’t make the schedule. Clearly.” If he did, they might be playing the game in Mexico City. USC’s receiving corps — other than Makai Lemon — looked a lot more ordinary without Lane last weekend. USC Football-Track Star Edesel Garrison Passes Away

But Notre Dame? … Continue reading What Was USC Thinking With Netflix Deal?

Netflix Wanted USC-Notre Dame Game

Puck News reports that Netflix was interested in picking up the rights to a USC-Notre Dame. The major problem — obviously — with this idea is USC and Notre Dame’s TV rights are not available. The Big Ten was reportedly unhappy with the approach from Netflix. Now USC tried to circumvent its TV deals by moving the game out of the country — but the … Continue reading Netflix Wanted USC-Notre Dame Game

USC Morning Buzz: Penalty Problems

USC is ranked No. 127 nationally in penalty yards per game. UCLA is the worst team nationally. This list doesn’t back up Lincoln Riley’s theory that bad teams often commit the fewest penalties. That doesn’t back up Riley’s theory either. Riley said Monday night USC opponents are telling the refs about hands-to-face penalties in pre-game meetings. So then don’t commit them, right?
