Former Penn State linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson has committed to USC. He was the top-ranked uncommitted linebacker in the transfer portal by 247 but he didn’t do much at Penn State last season, with 11 tackles and half a sack in 14 games. USC has received a commitment from offensive lineman Kannon Smith of Highlands Ranch, Colo. He is a four-star prospect per Rivals and three-star per 247. He was supposed to visit UCLA next week. When former USC players attended last weekend’s scrimmage at the Coliseum, they received only one instruction. Do not take photos! Lincoln Riley really thinks his spring practices are important. I might be more sympathetic if he wasn’t such a lousy play caller/clock manager last season. It must have upset him that he had to have spring games his first three seasons at USC. USC coach Lincoln Riley allowed former players to attend last Saturday’s practice. It was originally billed as a special event but turned out just to be a practice and nothing else. Riley told the former players after practice that it was special to have “85” of them attend.
