Former USC coach John Robinson, who was one of the greatest football coaches in Trojan history has died of pneumonia in Baton Rouge, La. He was 89. Robinson went 104-35-4 at USC and was 8-1 in bowl games. He coached at USC from 1976-1982 and again from 1993-1997. USC shot putter Dallas Long, who won the gold medal at the 1964 Olympics in Rome, has died. He was 84. Long also won a bronze medal in the 1960 Olympics.
