USC Great Joey Browner Passes Away

Former USC defensive back Joey Browner, who was an All-American and one of the greatest defensive backs in school history, passed away Saturday. He was 65. Browner played at USC from 1979-82 and finished his collegiate career with nine career interceptions and an impressive 40 pass deflections. He was USC’s Team MVP in 1982. USC held a SCRIMMAGE today at the Coliseum with recruits and others in attendance. I keep mentioning these Saturday workouts at the Coliseum because I’m not sure what difference it would make to allow the public to attend them. USC reached a tentative settlement in Sony Music’s lawsuit alleging its sports teams used hundreds of unlicensed songs in USC athletic department social media posts/hype videos.
